This year me and my friends decided to book a brunch for our annual Christmas meal. After doing some research we booked Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings based in Clerkenwell London.
As soon as you enter it's no surprise this is known as an 'instagram-worthy' spot in London. It has a relaxed, inviting atmosphere with mis-matched chairs, white walls & lots of plants. They were everywhere, hidden in corners and hanging from the ceilings. We were seated in the beautiful conservatory.
I went for the Bottomless Brunch option, as it was £9 for one or £18 for bottomless so I thought why not?! I choose the House Bellini, which was peach & changes depending on the season. I've been to bottomless brunches elsewhere and they come over & re-fill your glasses with prosecco as you drink, which when having a bellini doesn't always work as sometimes you end up with mostly prosecco and not much of the fruit taste. But when we were getting to the end of our glass the staff brought over a fresh new one, so we had a constant supply.
Food wise, I went for the Vegetarian Breakfast which included; eggs made to your preference (I chose scrambled) toast, confit roast tomato, button mushroom, crushed avocado and crispy potato hash. As I don't like mushrooms I asked if I could have an extra potato hash instead. The food was delicious and we have a mixture of meat eaters, vegetians, vegans and fussy eaters. So sometimes it's hard finding places to cater to everyone. I'm not going to lie ordering did take a while as many of us asked for changes on the menu but our waiter was really good about it.
Overall it was really good value for money, it worked out about £30 each. The service and staff were amazing. It's a great venue and we really enjoyed our experience. I would definitely recommend visiting.
